A Transfer Students' International Dream

When the topic is education, United States is known to rank highly amongst other countries based on the quality of education provided. According to the International Students in the United states article written by Jie Zong and Jeanne Batalova, in 2017 the U.S. hosted nearly 1.1 million of the 4.6 million students enrolled. Allowing transfer students an opportunity to live their international dream with an American education.
Maine Blaise, a 25 year old native of Burkina Faso , a country in West Africa moved to the southern part of America over 5 years ago. Blaise move to America with knowing only one language, French. Blaise lived in Austin, Texas for 2 months to learn as much English before enrolling himself into the University of Houston, where he would continue to learn America's native language.
Blaise knew that attending a University will provide him with a flexible degree that he will be able to travel with. "After I graduate I plan on moving to Germany where I'll make use of my degree," Blaise stated during the interview.
Blaise is currently in school pursing a management degree where he will work for a supply chain. He plans to supply his country with proper medical equipment so they area able to receive the proper medical treatment. With Germany being closer to Africa, he will live there and work which is cheaper and easier for Africa to receive the medical equipment.
Blaise will be graduating this Saturday December 14, 2019 with a bachelors degree from the University of Houston.
