Internships are important when pursing a degree of any sort. Tramell Jeffers,20 year old Junior at Texas Southern University executes internship importance with great pride, being a sports broadcast intern for KTSU. Tramell's internship prepares him to excel in pursing his degree in Radio, Television & Film. Gaining the knowledge, skills and tools needed to preserve in the real world of sports broadcasting.
Tramell began his courageous interning during spring 2019, under mentor Lary "Chattabox" Hale, radio voice of the TSU tiger. Tramell is giving the opportunity to perform interviews, broadcast on the radio, and travel with the football and basketball team. Prepping himself to prevail throughout his future career as a sports analyst.
Tramell spoke with me about his first time doing an interview, "It was with TSU soccer coach, I was very nervous when we started, but as the interview continued I became more comfortable." Tramell knew that this first interview would only make his future interviews more compelling.
Once Tramell gained that interview confidence he became more involved with interviewing, interviewing at least 2 basketball players after each game. Tramell says that this internship has made him proud being apart of a production that allows him to master his craft even after graduating,
