Nipsey Hussle, born Ermias Asghedom, was a hip hop rapper that believed his purpose was bigger than just his music. Hussle was a revolutionary, as well as an activist for his community. Hussle proved that with his voice of being a hip hop rapper, he could use his platform to help change and save lives of in his community. On Sunday, March 31, 2019, Nipsey Hussle life was cut short outside of his Marathon Store on Crenshaw and Slauson in Los Angeles, California.
News first broke that rapper Nipsey Hussle had been shot outside of his Marathon Clothing store, where he was then rushed to the hospital, he died shortly after. The world was in shock, from Instagram post, tweets, Facebook status, radio segments, and other media sources. Could this possibly be what Donald Trump calls "Fake New?"
Unfortunately, the news of the fatal shooting did result in the death of the legendary Nipsey Hussle. Breaking the hearts of people all over the world. Nipsey was not only a gifted rapper but had a spirit that reached people across the world. He believed in investing his earnings in beneficial assets rather than Flashy jewelry.
"I just don't understand how someone could take such a smart man, not only was he street smart this guy was WOKE," Shay, PR student at Texas Southern University stated. Previously before the fatal shooting of Nipsey Hussle, the rapper was said to put out a documentary on Dr.Sebi trial in 1985. Dr.Sebi claimed to have a cure for AIDS. He was taking to court by the state of New York for his claims, surprisingly Dr.Sebi won his case.
Although the cause for this shooting is unknown, many have their own conspiracy theories of what could have lead to such tragic death.
Nipsey was not only a rapper but an all around family man. He impacted the lives of people in his life and fans that knew him through music and his work for the community. "I hope you find your passion, cause I found mine and it's music, But I hope it's not material, cause that's all an illusion." Words from Nipsey off his 2010 album The Marathon. Persuading fans to find their passion that will have a positive impact on the world.
Nipsey Hussle music spoke volume, that the world we live in is not just a race but a Marathon.
